Alternate Hydro Energy Center

The Indian Institute of Technology’s Alternate Hydro Energy Center (AHEC) was established in 1982 and provides support to small hydropower projects. Its services include planning, project reports, engineering design, construction drawings, and appraisal.

AHEC advises SEP Energy on the Girna hydroelectric project. The center also runs training programs related to evaluation, planning, and design, as well as operation and maintenance, in which SEP employees have participated.
