Wind Project in Oman

Gulf Renewable Energy MENA is in discussion with Oman’s Authority for Electricity Regulation to create Oman’s first wind farm. The goal of the project is to reduce diesel consumption and produce electricity, while working with local suppliers to source an ever-increasing number of products made locally.

In April 2010, Oman’s Authority for Electricity Regulation announced GRE MENA’s wind project as one of two pilot projects slated for immediate implementation.
