Girna Hydroelectric Plant

SEP Energy holds a permit to build a hydroelectric power station in the Girna dam. Erected in 1968, the Girna facility collects seasonal monsoon rains for drinking water, irrigation, and industrial purposes. Maharashtra’s Ministry of Water Resources determined that a hydroelectric plant should be built to generate power using the water released from the dam. SEP Energy is currently working with regional and local authorities to determine the best size for the generating facility; this decision will take all stakeholders into account while maintaining irrigation as the top priority as per the Ministry’s directive.
